Premier League Preview 2013/14: Man Utd (H)

With two wins from two league games, the Reds have made their best start to a Premier League campaign since 2008/09 and head into the clash with David Moyes’ Manchester Utd at Anfield on Sunday – 1.30pm kick off UK time – on a ten match un-beaten league run (six wins, four draws), our longest un-defeated sequence since 2008/09.

Victory over the Red Devils would make it the first time this millennium that we’ve won our opening three league games, and make it just the third Premier League season (the others being 1993/94 and 1994/95) that we’ve picked up nine points from nine at the start of a campaign.

New Manchester Utd manager David Moyes will be looking to do something he failed to do in 12 attempts while he was in charge at Everton: win a league game at Anfield. His first real test since taking over the reigns at Old Trafford ended in a 0-0 draw with Chelsea and his Red Devils outfit currently occupy 4th place, two places and two points below us.
