Premier League Preview: Swansea (A)
May 11, 2012 Gary Fulcher

The 2011/12 Premier League season draws to a close on Sunday and Kenny Dalglish’s side will be hoping to sign off in style with a victory over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium (3pm kick off UK time) in what will be just the 22nd league encounter between the teams.

The sides drew 0-0 at Anfield back in November, with the goalkeepers from both clubs making the headlines for different reasons. Swansea’s Michel Vorm pulled off numerous excellent saves including two in the last two minutes to deny Luis Suarez and Glen Johnson, while Pepe Reina kept his 150th clean sheet for Liverpool joining fellow legendary Reds stoppers Ray Clemence and Bruce Grobbelaar in achieving that milestone.

Liverpool’s last league visit to Swansea came during the 1982/83 season with the Reds securing a 3-0 win at Vetch Field thanks to a brace from Ian Rush and a Craig Johnston strike.
