If you do not have your facts straight, you don’t have an opinion; you just have hot air. An opinion without the facts is like a pop song without the words and music. Sometimes it’s better to say nothing than offer an opinion; no opinion is better than a wrong one. But in modern media life, an opinion on everything is a must.
Below are the results of the Relative Transfer System (©) I devised for Dynasty. The idea was to take all transfers as a % of the British record of the day, so that I could compare the spending of all eight Liverpool managers since 1959.
The most interesting thing for me when doing my Liverpool team of the decade was just how much of it could have belonged to last year’s almost-title-winning squad. In the end, however, in several cases I plumped for alternatives who were every bit as good, but who delivered more throughout the decade.

What the Reds badly need is a home win to bring back a sense of optimism around the stadium, and rid the feeling of “here we go again…”.

Once Aquilani gets this game under his belt, he’ll be up and running. He’s a quality player, but cannot be expected to turn the season on his own, especially while adapting to English football while returning to full fitness.
Rarely an easy place to go to, but providing Liverpool can field a fairly full-strength team, and deal with the long-balls into the box, I expect three points.
